MECCANO Era BAYKO Instruction Manual
Sets #11 to #14, August 1960

This was the first Instruction Manual produced after BAYKO was taken over by MECCANO. The most spectacular feature of the manual is the number of copies which were printed - 250,000!!!
The most noticeable difference between this manual and its successors is the image of the young boy and girl on the front cover [below], which was changed after this version.
There is a second difference on page 16 [below], where advice to use a rubber band is added in subsequent versions to control the unsupported 2-Brick Rod over the open porch on the model.
There is a third, fairly trivial difference, from the previous version. The MECCANO internal reference number, 23924, has been added to the back cover [below].
There are a further three slightly different, later versions...
 
It is a 24 page manual, printed in full red, green, yellow and black on white gloss paper.
Size - 222mm x 190mm = 8.75 x 7.5 inches.
