Reproduction BAYKO Rods - Cut-to-Order

Rods aren't particularly sexy BAYKO parts, but they're essential...

...and sometimes you just can't get hold of a Rod that is long enough for a particular model.

During BAYKO's life time, both Plimpton and MECCANO offered a "made-to-measure" service - well "Cut-to-Order" anyway.

After a mere forty four year gap, I am now offering a "cut-to-length" service to fellow BAYKO modellers.

I have now identified a source of correct gauge [1.905 mm - the original 75 thou] replica Rods and the "Cut-to-Order" Rods I am offering are cut from these.

The price structure is simple and is laid out in the table below. Please note, you can ask for lengths in terms of Bricks, inches or millimetres - if doing your own calculation, don't forget to add 3/8 inch [10mm] to allow for the bit that goes into the base and the bit that sticks out at the top!

If you are planning to use particularly long Rods, supported, at regular intervals, by Floors - don't forget to ask for an extra allowance to accommodate these! If you want rods of an unusual length, please use the length in inches or millimetres as your guide, cost will be based on the size bands below : -
